How to Setup Film & Media Production Company in Dubai

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a popular place for doing business. What's less well known is that the country is also becoming an increasingly popular place to make movies. In the UAE, the film and production industry has been growing over the past few years. This growth is because the government offers a lot of help and does things that are good for business. With the help of these programmes, the number of film companies in the Emirates is growing very quickly. In cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, you can easily start your own film production company and make a lot of money doing it. This is because there are a lot of historical buildings, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and beautiful places to shoot. When you work with a specialist in starting a business, you can be up and running in a few days. Here's what you need to know to get started in the UAE, whether you want to move an existing business there or make your first attempt at making a movie.

Steps to start a film & media production company in the UAE

In the UAE, the first steps for starting a film production company are the same as for starting any other kind of business. First, you'll have to decide if you want to run your business from the mainland or in a UAE free zone. Both have a lot going for them. Free zones like Fujairah Creative City offer benefits like a quick and easy way to start a business, ongoing business support, and financial incentives like not having to pay taxes and using any currency. A UAE film production company may also be easier to start up in a free zone than on the Dubai mainland, but more on that later. On the other hand, businesses on the mainland can trade directly with the UAE market and get contracts from the government. The right setup for you will depend on what kind of business you have. An expert in starting a business can help you make this choice by telling you which option is best for your needs. Before you apply for a licence, you'll also need to choose a name for your business. At this point, there are a few important things to remember, many of which would not be true anywhere else in the world. You can approach Business Setup Companies in Dubai for all incorporation process.

Setting up film production in Dubai Mainland

If you want to start a business in dubai mainland, you need to get permission from different authorities and turn in all the necessary paperwork. After the company has done everything right, the government will give it a film production licence. The film shooting process is an important part of making movies in Dubai. DFTC is the only authority in Dubai that can do this (Dubai Film and TV Commission). All of the relevant government departments and location owners work closely with DFTC. It works with the Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Police, the GDFRA-Dubai, and the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) to find a good place to shoot a movie. This makes things easier because the company will only have to talk to DFTC, which will do all the hard work. This permit is needed to make both sound and pictures for a film. It is needed whether you want to make a movie inside or outside. You can ask permission to go on government-run, public, or private land. UAE-licensed production company is one of the most important requirements for getting a shooting permit. You also have to pay a permit fee to get a shooting permit. It has fees for both processing the application and finding a place. For public and private locations, the location fee may be different.

Starting film & media production in Free Zones

In Dubai, a lot of free zones are up and running. Most of these free zones in Dubai are only for certain kinds of businesses. Dubai Media City (DMC), Dubai Production City (DPC), and Dubai Studio City are the best places to set up a film production in a free zone (DSC). All of these free zones give companies that make movies special incentives and places to work. Your film production company can be set up in these free zones just like any other business. You need to go to the office of a relevant department and hand in all the necessary paperwork and pay the fees. DFTC is also in charge of giving shooting permits to companies in free zones. This permit is needed to make both sound and pictures for a film. It is needed whether you want to make a movie inside or outside. You can ask permission to go on government-run, public, or private land. A licensed film/media production company from the UAE is one of the most important requirements for getting a shooting permit. You also have to pay a permit fee to get a shooting permit. It has fees for both processing the application and finding a place. For public and private locations, the location fee may be different.

How to get Investor Visa in Oman

Oman, a small country in the south of the Arabian Peninsula that shares borders with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen, has a lot to offer business people and investors from all over the world. Oman is a Middle Eastern country with a population of just over five million. Despite appearances, it is approximately 30% larger than the United Kingdom. Famous for its terraced orchards, fortifications, ancient mosques, rolling sand dunes, and vibrant culture, Oman is the oldest autonomous state in the Arab area. Although work visas are available, foreign nationals are limited in the industries and occupations they can pursue once within Oman. Information about Oman's investor visa, including requirements and how to apply, is provided below.

Oman's Investor Visa Program

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman oversees the government's efforts to attract foreign direct investment. "In the context of the Sultanate's effort to encourage the establishment of businesses and attract foreign investments, the Sultanate focuses on its policy of encouraging foreign capital to push the development movement to reduce reliance on oil and diversify sources of national income," the Ministry said. As part of its efforts to improve the Sultanate's attractiveness as an investment destination, the government revised its tax code in 2000. In this regard, the Sultanate provides a number of amenities, including first-rate physical infrastructure, reasonable corporate taxes (as well as tax exemptions for some types of organisations), and efforts to streamline the process of starting a firm and improve corporate transparency. The purpose of the Omani investor visa is to encourage foreign entrepreneurs and investors who meet the requirements to establish and manage a business in the Sultanate of Oman. Foreign investors also have the option of purchasing an existing firm in Oman (i.e. become a shareholder in an existing Omani company). Visas for investors in the Sultanate of Oman are valid for up to two years and can be extended in advance. If an investor or entrepreneur wants to extend their stay in Oman, they'll need to prove that they still fit the criteria for receiving a renewal investor visa and that they have no intention of withdrawing their investment from the country.

The Omani Investment Residency Program (IRP): What is it?

Beginning in September of 2021, the Omani Investment Residency Programme (IRP) will be available to those who qualify. The program's goal is to boost foreign direct investment in key sectors like tourism, mining, logistics, agriculture, fishing, healthcare, education, and information technology (IT). Promoting a greener circular economy in Oman is a primary goal in implementing the IRP. Those who qualify under this programme will be able to obtain a renewable long-term resident permit valid for either five or ten years. • Provides Assistance During Audit

The corporate bank account keeps the detailed transaction record of the company. If a company bank account is separate from a personal bank account, you don't have to comb through business and personal transactions to get the relevant information. It saves more time and the work of the auditor and the business.

  • Enhances The Image

When paying creditors or suppliers, issuing checks from your personal account won't gain any confidence. Only the business account conveys to your prospective clients and customers that you're conducting the business. When you have a separate account book then the creditors will get to know that your company is serious.

  • Ensures A Professional Appearance

Maintaining a business account augments your company's image. This means when you use cheques, the creditors will understand your business.

  • Assisting With Company Liquidation

When there is a sale in a company, an audit is taken by the buying party. If you provide more documents then it'll turn out better. It is because banks are known to be legitimate authorities for verification. These banks maintain data and statistics that make a great deal during the company's transfer.
