The Khalifa Port or the Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), the largest of the ports in the UAE, was established in 2012 with the aim to increase inbound investment and trade in Abu Dhabi. Setting up a business in Abu Dhabi Ports Company

In order to set up a business in Abu Dhabi Ports Company, a company follows the steps below

  • A duly filled application along with requested documents is submitted to the Free Zone Authority.
  • The application is registered at the registration office whilst the date of submission is noted.
  • The application is processed and reviewed on the same date.
  • The approval of the application will be notified to the applicant on the same day by the Free Zone Authority.
  • Acceptance of the approval may happen on a condition or not. After meeting all the requirements and the requisite fee is paid, the relevant license will be issued.
  • If ever rejection of the application occurs, the Free Zone Authority shall notify the applicant of the same along with the reasons. This happens within 15 days from the date on which the applicant is notified of the rejection.
  • One may oppose the rejection of the application, and the Free Zone Authority shall review the same. The final decision will be issued within 30 days from the date of submitting the opposition. In case a decision is not issued within 30 days from the date of submission, the resistance is considered rejected.
