About Fujairah Free-Zone Authority

• Business club: Investors’ basic needs are met by the Business Club covering an area of 1000 sq.m. It includes an Auditorium, Conference room, furnished trading offices, playroom and a restaurant to relax and enjoy congenial atmosphere to clinch valuable business deals.
• Distribution/Warehousing: It is possible to lease different sized units for general trading, import & export, re-export of various items. The warehouse can be used for storage and packaging and make it a distribution hub at lucrative price.
• Trading Offices: The fully furnished offices are available for lease with secretarial assistance and 35 sq.m minimum area for import & export, re-export operations.
• Manufacturing: Pre-built units can be leased by investors or customized unit construction requested with open land to meet requirements for manufacturing purpose.
• Customs exemption: There is custom duty exemption on import of all finished products and commodities for Free Zone clients meant for export & re-export of items outside the UAE. Duties will not be levied upon the clients on raw materials or factory machineries used for production purpose. Moreover, Free Zone clients are free to use the UAE airports and ports for easy goods movement in & out of UAE and enjoy the customs duty exemptions.
• Water & Electricity: Investors located at the Free Zone are provided with three phase power by the Water & Electricity Ministry at reasonable rates. The Ministry provides water from desalination plant.
• Administration Service: Efficient staffs have been recruited by the Authority to offer prompt support when trying to obtain services from the concerned Federal Ministries. This is pertaining to car registration, obtaining driving licenses, legal document notarization, residence visas, entry permits, visit and transit visas for employees and investors, etc. Recruitment services are offered by the Authority for personnel belonging to all levels.

Fujairah Customs

The department’s objective is to proivde Fujairah Port, Fujairah International Airport and Dibba Sea Port users with efficient, quick and simple Customs facilities. Having experience of more than eight years and procedures being moulded according to the demands of the clients, the authority is capable enough to offer uncomplicated services at all times.

The normal office operating hours are between 7:30 am – 2:30 pm to attend all customs documentation and other related requirements. Services like trans-shipment, Bills of Entry, crew change inspection, vessel clearance certificate, ship handling services and bonded warehouse in & out traffic, etc. are all handled by the staffs on duty after office hours.

Custom duty exemption on import of all finished products and commodities for export & re-export outside the UAE can be enjoyed by our Free Zone clients. Also, duties are exempted on raw materials or on factory machines that are being used for production. But Free Zone users being used for import purposes into the UAE will attract 4% custom duty.

Customs will require the given below documentation for in/out exporting or clearing of goods:

Import in UAE

• Invoice of original supplier
• Fujairah Duty completed import BOE (Bill of Entry)
• Origin certificate
• Packing list
• Israeli boycott certificate
• Trader license copy
• Delivery order

Additional Documents required

Health Certificate is mandatory for agricultural products and foodstuffs. In case, Original Documents are not available for presentation to the authorities, then copies can be submitted with some small deposit amount.

Export from UAE

Custom Department, Fujairah declaration is mandatory for all cargo that is being exported through Fujairah Air and Sea Ports. This should be combined with commercial invoice and Fujairah BOE (Bill of Entry).

Re-Export

• Fujairah Re-export BOE (Bill of Entry) is necessary for all cargos re-exported through Fujairah Air and Sea ports.
• For quota controlled items, there should be attached copy of Visa Stamp/Certificate of Origin.
• There should be produced Traffic Police Clearance documents for vehicles.
• Any AUE airport and port can be used by Free Zone clients for goods movement in/out of the country and also benefit from custom duty exemptions.

License

Hundred percent ownership operational license can be obtained by investors under following categories, depending upon lease agreement provided by the authority:

General Trading & Trading License

Authorization provided to export, import and re-export on specified and agreed commodities. Investors are provided empowerment by the license to freely export, import and re-export outside the UAE and within the Free Zone. The Authority can provide support to obtain special permits from the related government departments for focal distribution and hassle -free operations.

Warehousing License

This can be obtained upon leasing warehousing facilities. Investors are entitled to make use of the warehouse as hub to benefit storage, as major distribution and to package goods.

Manufacturing License

It is necessary for Fujairah Free-Zone Co. Formation, project implementation and obtained on approval. All projects including machinery and manpower are to be insured fully. Also, all of the manufacturing license approvals have been subjected to identifying the given below:

• Project environmental aspects
• Manpower, water and electricity requirements
• Area requirements: open and built up space
